What you held, for whom, and from when to when — leave To empty if you still hold it. One is needed to join. The longest one is printed in the register beside your name. Months are written YYYY-MM.

Say “a dental group” rather than naming them if you would rather; the span is the part that is read. These are printed as your own statement, read against the work you show, and never confirmed with the company that held it.

The hours you are actually at your desk. It gets a column of its own on every list, and your record sheet prints the hours it overlaps a nine-to-five in US Pacific, US Eastern, UK and Sydney. A window that runs past midnight is fine — say so.

Your own time zone, whichever it is. The register prints the offset under your hours and works the overlap out from this, never from where you are.

600 characters or more — about a hundred words. Under that, search engines are not sent your record at all.

What we ask you for

Anyone, anywhere, can list here. There is no country rule.

What there is instead: before your record is published, we check that you are who you say you are. Your record then says which of two things happened: checked against a government-issued document, or checked by a person here. The automatic check is run by Stripe, who keep the images. We never see them, and we cannot ask for them. What we keep is the outcome, the country that issued the document, the type, and the name on it.

We also ask which country you are tax-resident in. You type it; we never infer it from your connection. We keep it as a tax record for ten years after the end of the calendar year in which you declare it, and it decides nothing about whether you are listed — the privacy page says why we must keep it.

Nothing on this site is ever charged to a freelancer. What every record has to clear is the standard, published in full, and the register it would put you on is readable without an account.
